This past week has been a rollercoaster of a week. The boys went back to school and while it was nice to have the house back to myself it was also quiet. And of course there is the whole settling back into the routine of school, so no more late nights and plenty of getting up early although the school holidays didn't stop my boys from getting up early. lol
There was also homework... plenty of it for my eldest son Callum who is now at Secondary School and even my youngest son Riley had homework to do. Surprisingly they both fell back into that routine well which was a blessing and Riley who we normally struggle to get to do his homework had a new vigour for it. So much nicer when you don't have to fight and argue with them to get the homework done.
And then there was the visit to the vets for our Rory Cat. We got Rory just a few months after Riley was born and he was a birthday present for Callum. He is such a lovely cat if not a little unsocial and having previously had a cat that made us swear off getting another cat (thank you Merlin for being so psychotic!!!) Rory was a breath of fresh air and made us fall in love with cats again, so much so that in 2014 we got two new kittens called Charlie and Lola. Anyway poor Rory hasn't been well and we had to take him to the vets last week for another check up to see if the medication we had been giving him was working. And that's where I was told that what they first thought was the matter with him may now not be the matter and that he needed to have a biopsy. And now we just wait for the results and hope for the best.
